Chemical heaters, also known as over-the-side heaters under the trade name of THE HOT ROD^® are manufactured for chemical heating applications in various sheath materials, lengths, and wattage ratings for the plating industry specific. Sheath selection is critical to application due to chemical attack (sheath corrosion) in various chemicals and chemical heating applications. The use of a specific material in the construction of the chemical tank does not necessarily mean the same material will be suitable for the heater. It is therefore recommended to contact our technical team for assistance with application suitability for any one of our standard or specially manufactured chemical heaters.

Teflon^® is a Du Pont registered name.

These chemical heaters are manufactured from either Stainless, Titanium or Vitrosol (fused silica glass) sheath material in length increments between 300mm – 1500mm and at individual heater wattage ratings of between 1000Watt – 7000Watt. Length and wattage selection is dependent on tank design, tank volume, and the application temperature requirements.

The Teflon^® heater is a mineral insulated tubular element manufactured with a Teflon^® over-sleeve and readily bent to suit the desired application configuration. Typical manufactured lengths are between 2500mm – 5000mm and wattage ratings limited between 1000Watt – 3000Watt.
