Founded in 1992 with a staff compliment of just four members, HI-TECH Elements has grown into an internationally recognised and trusted heating elements and product designer/manufacturer operating from premises in the Gauteng province of South Africa.
Through the acquisition of similar subsidiary companies over the years, the company has expanded its range of heating products. Howford Manufacturing (THE HOTROD®)
HI-TECH Elements acquires the company Howford Manufacturing (established in 1982) who specialized in the manufacturing & supply of the registered over-the-side chemical heater better known as THE HOTROD® for the metal finishing industry.
ISO 9001:2000
HI-TECH Elements obtains & introduces the internationally accepted ISO 9001:2000 DEKRA quality management system.
Flexi-Heat
HI-TECH Elements acquires the company Flexi-Heat, which specialized in the manufacturing and supply of heat-compensating trace heating systems.
HOTTUBE
HI-TECH Elements imports & commissions plant to manufacture mineral tubular elements in 8mm and 11.2mm diameter up to 5000mm in length and markets the product under the brand name of HOTTUBE.
ISO 9001:2008
HI-TECH Elements converts from the ISO 9001:2000 DEKRA quality management system to the latest ISO 9001:2008 version.
Hottube Expansion
HI-TECH Elements has acquired an additional mineral tubular element manufacturing plant and machinery, expanding the range of HOTTUBE products to include 6.5mm diameter elements up to 3000mm in length.
New Products
The company develops and launches the all new Mineral Tubular Drum Heater, Infra-Red Radiant Heater & the upgraded 3Kw & 4Kw TEFLON® HOTROD heaters.
