This range of heater elements are specifically designed and manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes for application in the plastic industry for barrel and mould heating on plastic injection moulding and plastic blow moulding machines. Band heaters primarily supply heat to the machine barrel that in turn melts the plastic pellets within the barrel. Secondary band, clad and cartridge heaters are applied to keep the plastic in a molten state for the purpose of moulding.
Designed as a circular barrel heating unit, these heaters are custom manufactured to suit the machine barrel or mould diameter in widths to suit the specific application. The heaters are mica insulated, steel cladded, and suitable for application temperatures up to 250° Celsius rated between 2-3Watt/Cm² at the applied voltage. The cartridge heater is a high watt’s density heating unit manufactured for a range of heating processes. The heater is steel encased and supplied at various diameters and lengths generally with termination on one end. Although a standard range of these heaters is available, custom heaters and custom termination can be provided.
